Black Angels Miami seeks an intern to join our team. We seek a highly motivated individual with good communication skills, written and verbal, who has a strong interest in the venture capital industry. No prior work or academic experience with venture capital is required. Our BAM intern will work directly with our Executive Director in handling operations, communicating with startup companies, and interacting with other venture capital industry participants. Furthermore, the BAM interns will develop strong analytical skills and deep domain knowledge about startup investing. The length of internship is flexible but at least four (4) months.  Remote work arrangements will be allowed.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will be tailored to the individual intern's skill set, but may include the following: 

• Assist in managing BAM’s pipeline of investment opportunities

• Assist with due diligence and analysis of startup companies 

• Compile research on industry sectors and technology fields

• Participate and assist with BAM meetings (internal and external) including with startup firms, incubators, accelerators, Angel groups and Venture Capital firms 

• Assist with public relations and marketing activities

• Support Executive Director as directed

 

Qualifications

An ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Keen interest in venture capital, business and/or technology

• Demonstrable ties to South Florida

• Actively pursuing undergraduate degree

• Outstanding intellectual aptitude

• Ability to work well in a team environment and individually

• Highly organized and results oriented

• Strong communications skills – verbal and written
